As always I wrote here the selection of a tool depends on your defined project management process. In my last work place we use and tried different tools from Microsoft suit to other more elaborate. Right now we are using Microsoft Azure DevOps.

We are using Spider Project. This is the only tool that optimizes resource constrained schedules. The schedules created by Spider Project for projects with resource constraints are usually shorter than the schedules created for the same projects by other tools and it helps to save time and money. This software does not have limitations.

Hi Kwiyuh,
people's requirements to PM software features are very different. They depend on the ways people manage their projects, on industry, on project management maturity, etc.
You must create your own list of expectations of project management tool, determine those features that are most needed and then estimate PM tools against your requirements.
This is the way to find the solution that fits to your needs.

It depends of the project management approach.
For example, for cascade projects, you can use MS Project.
For hybrid projects, a good option is Planview.
For agile/adaptative projects, Trello or Jira are the best choices.
Also, for agile approach, there is a newfangled project monitoring solution that combines agile with global indicators. Every team member can be included in a Trello dashboard, to update the state of his respective tasks. Then, the information is translated into a global indicators panel, that can be shared with management supervisors. Thank you for the responses. I watched the webinar from Project Headway on PM software and got inputs too. It is for agile and general PM implementations. Main objective is for Scheduling, Collaboration and Deliverable. Right now, I am exploring 4 tools: Trello, Basecamp, Wrike and Teamwork.

Rose,

there are many tools to support projects, some for free, some for fee. Many lists can be found per search.
As Vladimir says, to select one you should first understand what you need. And even before that it is beneficial to try out some of them, so you get a better grasp what is available. I see you are doing this.

Some tools are better for use by a standalone PM, some support teams, some need a server, others come thru a public cloud as SaaS.

There are new tools on the horizon using AI in different ways, and being able to support the project manager in decision making. As examples:

https://ricardo-vargas.com/downloads/apply...project-budget/
lili.ai
perflo.co

I think MS Project is still purchased the most, not sure how sophisticated it is used by many. I consider MS Excel to be sufficient for most projects, small to medium.

And yes, the tools you mention are also there, maybe also look at Monday.
Good luck and let us know what you find out please.
