Course recommendations on building a PMO?

My work is looking to sponsor me in attending a course on building a PMO for our IT organization, which I'm excited about! Has anyone attended one that you'd highly recommend? I found one, but am looking to explore and vet the options out there before we commit to one.

Rather than a course, a PMO-focused conference or symposium might be more useful given the networking opportunities and diversity of tracks. I know Gartner hosts one annually and PMI used to in the past, but you'd have to search for upcoming offerings.

I highly recommend the PMO Value Ring offered by PMO Global Alliance. After you complete the course, you have a small test and you will earn a certification as well.

Personally, I did benefit from this course and found the Value Ring Step by Step methodology very valuable and it will guide you through building a PMO from scratch.
