Take PMP soon using PMBOK 6, or wait for the exam to switch to 7?

Hello, I'm not in a rush, but I do want to take my PMP and I'm weighing whether it would be better to take it soon, while the exam is still based on PMBOK 6, or wait until next year (?) when presumably it will change over to content from PMBOK 7. I have both 6 and 7 so I'm willing and able to prep using either. Any thoughts? Saving Changes...
I have taken PMP last week, I would recommend that you take the PMP now, Since you have already set the Goal, try to achieve it sooner, It will give you a sense of relaxation and your can start focusing on other things/work sooner.
Please let me know if I can help you more on this.

I don't think there will be a switch like previous exams. PMI are taking a more agile approach and will be introducing new questions on the go. That's what Ive heard so both versions 6 and 7 will be relevant but you can always call PMI and ask.
If you're open to either version, what are your other drivers for taking the exam? Is there greater value in achieving your PMP sooner? Do you have other commitments that are higher priority or that help you achieve important goals, sooner? Look at both your short and long term goals; Of all that things that you could spend time, energy, and money on, which activities bring you closer to your goals? Saving Changes...

Ryan,
I was in a similar situation with previous versions. Personally, I would base it on how comfortable you are with the current material and whether you think you can get exam ready on PMBOK 6 before the deadline. The longer you delay you might lose the impetus to get that certification. My inclination will be to go for it but each individual has to assess for their own benefit. Good luck with your choice and exams! Do let us know your decision. Saving Changes...
If you feel sure of your knowledge now, you should take the exam soon. As a PMP, you need to update your knowledge along the way, and that's why the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Program was implemented. You can keep updated not only today but along your entire Career. Saving Changes...

There is such a huge body of lessons learned knowledge available on the current exam so why not do it now Ryan? Changes always happen to the exam anyway and they are not based on the PMBOK Guide. Saving Changes...

Ryan,
I would go with the current exam based mainly on ed6 as you can get a lot of material (like mockup exams), advice (LL from exams) and support for it. There is no support yet for the ed7, maybe from autumn on it will be but it also will be untested.
If you can afford the effort now, who knows what will be in 2022?

I have look on PMBOK 7 and it is big change from PMBOK 6.
IMO PMBOK 7 go for aglie process flow ad PMBOK 6 still stick with traditional PM flow. But PMBOK 6 is more realistic. Saving Changes...
