Calling all fellow PMP and Prosci-certified Change Management Practitioners out there - did you see Prosci's recent blog post about changes to their materials and templates? On the surface it sounds positive. After the first year of being certified, I subscribe to their Portal and pay an annual fee to have access to their templates etc. But with this new launch, Prosci is giving me the options that cost between $1,500 and $2,200 in order to see their revised templates even though I am a subscriber to the portal which is now going to be out of date. Did anyone else uncover this issue?

Oh wow, that's a significant cost - I am not Prosci certified (yet) but that is certainly alarming !

I agree. For being a change management company, in my opinion, they did not use their own practices to make this a smooth roll-out for this change. I spent hours trying to figure out their changes and then come to find out I don't even have access. It is frustrating.

I am not Prosci certified. However, it seems expensive and does not make sense!

It is very expensive. The methodology and tools have been helpful but it does not make sense why existing certified Prosci change management practitioners would be forced to enroll into another expensive class when they already paid to be trained and paid for the yearly access to their tools. I am going to look into the CCMP certification.

How is the portal bundle different from the eToolkit? The eToolkit is only $300 to renew, I believe.

As far as I know so far, Prosci will not give access to the new information unless you go through a class again. That means the eToolKit is not their most updated info anymore which makes me wonder if they will keep offering it. I just paid to renew it in April so I would assume I would at least have access to continue using it for an entire year but after that who knows.

That's unfortunate. On the plus side, taking Prosci's class fulfills the training requirements for the CCMP.

It is extremely frustrating. My membership recently expired and I moved into a change role where I now require access to the PROSCI eToolkit. Given the recent changes by PROSCI, I am also of the same mindset and will look into CCMP certification.
