I work with a small team - six of us in total. Everyone has a set of unique projects that they work on and some projects that over-lap with on another. We work in a flex environment - 3 days in the office, 2 days at home. We are seeking some sort of software that will allow us to see the global view of all projects the team is working on along with some details (delivery dates, overlaps, some basic details for each project). I'm basically seeking a software system that presents the global view from around 10,000 feet without so many bells and whistles that it becomes complicated or too complex for users. We have cobbled a few things together using Google and Microsoft Teams, but we need more of a one-stop-shop where everyone can see the big picture and quickly and easily understand what each team member is working on and where each others' work fits together into the whole. You can set up Wrike or SmartSheets to accomplish what you are describing. It might take a little training and time to configure, but not as much work as a PPM solution and wouldn't require a full-time administrator. I've been seeing a lot of ads for monday.com and click-up, about how they're supposed to simplify tracking work, but I have no experience with either. Saving Changes...
I would do a "dashboard" in Powerpoint like software and putted it online to everyone view it. Schedule a monthly meeting to review and discuss the status, align the next steps. Excel, Power BI, MS Power Apps, or even a custom web app, pages would also be an option if the team is acquainted with sw development. It would be a good exercise aside the ongoing projects. There are a number of options as identified by earlier postings however keep in mind that whatever option you go with will require timely and effective data input. I think that will be your biggest challenge. I have seen "big-picture" reports and in discussion the first thing we are told is that they are not necessarily up to date nor accurate.

I experience a similar issue but it's not about the big picture itself. When I show the high level view, I'm often asked for more detailed information as to what is behind the high level view.
Then there is always a struggle to keep the lower level data current, as well as trying to satisfy everyone's wishes to be both high level and detailed content on a single, readable one page view. That comes from stakeholders who have inconsistent expectations.

In the IT age clients and upper management expect total access to information. Presenting the information is not the challenge, information acquisition and analysis is the bottleneck. We go back to the "garbage in - garbage out" or "nothing in - garbage out" situation. I am a great believer in dashboards which, in theory, is ideal for information distribution but (big but) great effort is required to populate the data fields that feed an effective dashboard. Typically the interest, and effort, is in the dashboard itself (presentation) neglecting the need for effective, consistent and timely data capturing. The result is that when you drill down from the dashboard you quickly get lost and the entire process comes into question.
Final thought: the concept is great but the implementation is a challenge. Saving Changes...
If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there is a man on base.
