Just one week ago I have finally passed the PMP Certification and actually scored above target in all 3 domains after two failed attempts.
Besides the PMBOK Guide Sixth Edition I studied Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy Sixth Edition and All-IN-ONE PMP Exam Prep Kit by Darron Clark.
I also read twice the Agile Practice Guide, Agile Alliance, PMI Global Standard.
By the third time my tension has alleviated and I was able to focus clearly on each situational question. You are asked as the project manager how to best answer along with a few matching vocabulary with meanings or situations.
This test I did not have any True or False questions.
Although every test was different, I felt prepared and more relaxed on the 3rd attempt and I feel this made all the difference in my comprehension and ultimate result on the exam.
I mentioned to a friend that it took me 12 hours to take the test. And it did in theory.
Not only is it worth the time, energy and effort to familiarize yourself with the principles and the role of a project manager in situations, but also have the confidence that you did study and the answer will be recognizable and comprehensible.
I am excited to be now looking for my next career opportunity.
Good luck and I wish everyone success in the future.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Yealy
