PMI Membership Renewal

My membership expires today and I received an email form PMI in this light. I feel disenfranchise because of PMI not meeting their engagement of mailing the hard copy of my certificates. So my temporal non-membership status may mean that I will miss this great PM.com family for a while. Is there anyone like me battling with whether to renew membership or not?

Hi Just checking in are we mailing PMP certificates out now.
No - PMI has decided not to offer paper certificates on an ongoing basis.
