How soon do we get the PMP exam result?

As the question says, how soon do we get the exam result and how is the grading done.

I took the exam this morning and right after received a printout that i passed the preliminary assessment. Does it mean i pass or i still have to wait for the official result to really confirm that i pass?

It was literally a pass/fail message followed by stating I will receive an email within 48hrs.
Hello Elizabeth, would you be so kind to detail where and when did you get that message? I remember the message related to email in 48h but not to have seen a pass or fail.

Hi I just gave the exam today, it showed a congratulations on completing capm at the submission. Does it mean I passed ?I can't see an update in pmi website ? Was proctored. Thanks

Candidates who take the PMP exam will not receive a result immediately after completing the exam. You will receive an email from PMI with your exam result within five business days. This is due to PMI's new enhanced validation process to reinforce the integrity of the PMP certification.

Just took my test at a test center run by pearson got a paper print out and a pass with instructions saying I will receive my official certification and score in 49 hours. Hope I can rely on it!

Hello,

I did my exam on Friday the 19th and received the provisional score report. I was wondering will I still receive the official score and certificate within 48 hours or will there be a delay because it’s weekend time?
