I'm looking at doing the Wicked Problem solving Course. I would like feedback on the course from someone who has taken it.

I took the course and here is my feedback:

It is a very well structured course that will deep dive into the three most important skills of today as per the World Economic Forum (This is quoted from PMI):

1) Complex Problem Solving
2) Collaboration
3) Creativity

WPS is a confluence of Agile, Lean, Design Thinking and other modern ways of working with the goal of helping you improve how you work with your team by focusing on:

1) Asking the Right Questions
2) Making Ideas Visible
3) Engaging with Forward Actions

The course gave me a different perspective on how to solve complex problems. It is also worth mentioning that while it is a self-paced course, you will also be using Miro, the digital white-boarding Tool which is great because you will learn how to use this tool, if you don't already.

Upon completion of the course, you’ll earn the WPS Practitioner Badge and 18 PDU’s - There is no exam for this course.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Rami. Was it worth the investment? Do you see where it improved your PM skills?

You're welcome Samantha. By nature, and as you might notice from my profile, I am a life long learner.

In terms of the course, for me, it was worth it. I found it different and gave me a different angle / perspective on how to solve complex problems. You might find it straight forward but if you actually apply it, it has huge value.

As for improving PM Skills, no course or certification will do that for you. Improving skills is fed by your hand-on experience in the field. Courses merely provide you with the knowledge base to make sense of things when you encounter them because no one guide is static and you do customize your way of working based on the project and client needs and this is where PM skills and experience kicks in (The practice, not theory).
