I'm going to an interview, the task is to refurbish a pub...

This is the question, but I'm slightly confused in regards to the budget.

"£100,000 budget to spend on upgrading the site to both improve our guests experience and drive both reasons to visit and sales and £20,000 to spend on maintenance of the building and property"

I want to know what do you think they mean entirely by the different budgets set. I think 20K for the renovation is very little money, and was thinking if using the 100k as part of the renovation would still be considered as the 'customer' experience, such as buying new furniture, decoration etc.

But I feel like the 100k is for a business plan to bring more sales in.

I don't know, so confused, could someone help? Thanks so much!!

The 100k is for one time (non-recurring) to make improvements. The 20k is operational expenses (recurring)

Break down the statement: "£100,000 budget to spend on upgrading the site to both improve our guest's experience and drive both reasons to visit and sales.
Guest experience: plan for a customer survey, do a survey, implement changes.
Sales: What is the current state? What is the %growth expected, plan to improve it, execute the plan to obtain it?
Marketing: how do guests know about the pub, what marketing campaigns are in place? Does it need more?
How do the guests get to the pub?
Where do they park?

The budget would conform mainly to the business operation.
