I've done it... we've been working on large development projects for a while and have been convincing a client of the merrits of moving towards an Agile way of working. By way of an assurance process we have been speaking of "early build assurance" , "demonstrations", "show and tell's" etc...but we don't want to be doing these at the end of every sprint, but what do you call them and how do you integrate them into a waterfall project plan that can be understood?
The answer is "RELAYS" - simply a collection of sprints (think athletics 4x400m etc) but also they are a way of transferring information from one point to another. Simple really. Feel free to use it in your own working, but please remember where you heard it first.
