planning to take PMP , currently on career break

Dear Members,

I am presently on a career break and planning totake up PMP certification to upscale my career prospects. Will i be eligible?

Hello Sir,

Thank u for the response. I have 15 years of experience into Software Development. Out of which last 6 years have played the role of Project Manager. Had last worked until Sep 2019

I'd recommend downloading the certification handbook from PMI's website as it is the authoritative source for everything you'd need to know about the credential's logistics.

The PM experience requirement for the PMP must have been within the past eight years so as long as you have sufficient experience over that time period, it won't matter if you are currently taking a work break.

You better consult the website for eligibility criteria. anyways, it has nothing to do with your current job status.
