I am just reaching out to get any feedback on the Agile Hybrid Project Pro (AHPP) certification. What are some thoughts of the content offered by PMI that you learn on your own? Is this a certification that is well recognized? It seems like it is going along with the current trends of the industry and the latest PMBOK. Thanks in advance everyone!

Hi. What's the required percentage to pass in the exam?
This is not information that PMI provides. Sorry - there is no answer to your question that anyone here can provide.

Hi all,

So I told everyone I would keep them posted on the outcome of my exam once I took it. I am happy to say that I passed on my first attempt. Here is how I went about it to hopefully help others pass.

1. Completed the provided training about 6 months ago, and did read the articles under the resources for each module. They were not the greatest of articles, and some of them were fairly old as I stated in my previous posts. However, I did get through them all.
2. I did go through the Agile Practice Guide which for PMI members is free and can be found here:
https://www.pmi.org/pmbok-guide-standards/practice-guides/agile
3. Went back to the training module two weeks ago and went through each module again. This time just focused on the core information only, and no resource articles. I completed a couple modules a day.
4. I never passed the overall quiz at the end of the training with more than 50% from what I could tell. But I didn't let that persuade me to not take the exam. It shouldn't let you either, besides you already paid for it.
5. For the exam you have to remember that the title of this is Agile-Hybrid so you will need to be able to understand the concepts, of Agile, Waterfall\Traditional, and then the Hybrid scenario. So, be sure to really read the question fully.
6. Also in between studying, I completed the FREE PMI Agile and Waterfall concepts which I think gives you a good starting point for this micro-credential even if Agile and Waterfall are not new to you.

Overall now that I look back at it all, I think PMI did a good job putting this credential together. The information provided really made me think about the different styles of managing a project.
Hi Luke,

Thanks for that detail - very helpful. Can you tell me where to locate the "FREE PMI Agile and Waterfall concepts" info you mentioned in your post? My search came up without a good hit. Thanks!

I personally liked the course and highly recommend it. It is very well structured and comprehensive - Another reason it does add value is the fact that a large percentage of the professionals these days work in a Hybrid Environment.

PMI came up with those specialized micro-credentials in order to help professionals sharpen their skills and knowledge in certain areas.

Just to be clear, this is not a certification, it is a micro-credential. Below is some further info:

•Course Fees = $175 Members / $200 Non-Members
•10 Hours (On Average) Self-Paced Course
•75 Min Online Exam, Un-Proctored, Course-Based
•Upon completion of the course, you earn 13 PDUs
•Upon completion of the exam, you earn Micro-Credential + Digital Badge
•No Expiration, No Renewal

The have a 20% Discount offer until end of December - I will send you the link and code via a message.

Hope this helps.

please send me 20% off discount code. thanks.

This exam does not give any clarity on which area needs an improvement except PASS or FAIL result.

Hi community, does anyone know why it's called " Agile Hybrid Project Pro™ " instead of just " Hybrid Project Pro™ "? Since 'hybrid' already includes Agile elements within it.

Hello everyone,
I just cleared the AHPP exam and got the micro-credential added to my PMI Dashboard. However, I just want to know if I will be getting any course completion certificate from PMI for this. When I searched online, I could see the AHPP course completion certificates obtained by some people, so wondering. Thank you!

Studied a couple of months for this micro certification (2 rounds of the curriculum and resources) and recently took the exam - Failed. There is a lot of information to take in with the curriculum and extensive resources. A lot. I do not know where my knowledge lacked as there has been no feedback. Time was of the essence and I found myself concentrating more on how much time I had remaining to answer the questions which distracted me from absorbing what I was being asked. O_O I will not invest anymore time to retake the exam for this micro cert. I felt blind going in no matter how much I studied. Over 20 years of professional experience working in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid complex software development projects - I know nothing apparently. Thumbs up to those who have passed or are determined to pass.
