here's a thought: if cats and dogs have their respective year values 1 human year = 7 cat years and 5 dog years I think. Flying hours are a 1:1 relationship because you can only fly one plane at a time...but if a PM has been managing 12 projects simultaneously for 4 months does that mean they have gained 4 Project Years' experience?

If that logic is true then I think I have over 200 years experience - which aint bad, how about you? Does anyone claim a millenium?

good point, David, but does that mean that you can apply that thought to the10 projects you are spinning? If I were in the garden reading my copy of PM today (or whatever) and thought, "wow, that's an elegant risk matrix" (or whatever) could I charge that thought to 5 projects, and more importantly, could I charge for the 3 hours of sifting through scores of google searches that it took me to get to one page with the paragraph that I can lift for another document? clearly this can go in as "research"...do you get double time on sundays and unsociable hours - those eureka moments at 3am could be quite lucrative, especially if you log into the VPN to send an email about it.

I think, as always, a level of common sense that is frequently lacking needs to be applied - but these are worthwhile distractions (or a fun fantasy).
