Just like every year around this time, I pose this question so we can all reflect and motivate one another. This year has been another very interesting and as the year comes to an end, and given we are one big community / family, it would be interesting to hear about each other’s achievements during the year:

- What did you achieve on a professional level ?
- What did you achieve on a personal level ?
- Did you follow a certain plan you set ?

Professional Achievements

1. I transitioned from my 4 year position as a Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager with a great company to a new position with an even greater company in the Pharma space where I am expanding my knowledge and experience in Agile and SAFe.
2. I started utilizing my PMP credentials to network more and learn more within the PM community instead of just being satisfied adding PMP after my name.
3. I obtained my Scrum Master Certification
4. I received training in SAFe Agilist (Leader) and about to take my exam.
5. I have completed several mini LinkedIn trainings in Agile, JIRA, Team Motivation, Strategy and Innovation and Leadership
6. I have been accepted into the Penn State University Master's Program in Strategic Management and Executive Leadership with classes starting in January. (I am so pumped)
7. I attended (3) Project Management events and learned so valuable tips and techniques for managing people and projects.
8. I am preparing to enroll in PgMP training first Qtr 2022.

Personal Achievements
1. I made a commitment to improving my health with nutrition and exercise daily.
2. I made a commitment to putting myself first and achieving my goals as realized that I can make a bigger impact on others lives if I am performing at my best and achieving my goals as inspiration to others.
3. I stopped looking at how time I have left and instead starting looking at what I can still accomplish in life!
If there is one thing I would like to work on is networking. It is coming between me and the good things in life, so to speak.

Networking is KEY so yes, this is something you can easily work on even virtually between here and LinkedIn.

This is amazing, congratulations on those outstanding achievements and good luck with your Master Program and SAFe Certification.

On a personal level, I should and will follow your footsteps especially the nutrition and excersing part. I adopted some bad eating habbits during COVID and cut down on my exercising time but I am planning to get on it soon.

Validated my PMP certification which was suspended in 2020 for shortage of 17 PDUs. Became a member of PMI after a gap of one year.
Post retirement, I am persuading to get some full time or part time job in cement plants construction/project management .Any professional guidance is welcome
Sekar

Congratulations on renewing your PMP and PMI Membership. I think the best place to start in looking for a job post retirement is your local chapter in India.

Good Luck !

Rami, your achievements are hard to top. Looking at them, I almost feel like I did nothing :(
Professionally I got certified. A big milestone for me.
On a personal level it seems all have been stagnant or even regressing. At least I have finally convinced myself I can write my concept paper for PhD admission. Hiked mountain Kenya to the third highest peak.
On the family front, nothing much to report.
Noel

Thanks for your compliment much appreciated - You did accomplish something big, it is not easy to become certified. Don't judge your achievements based on what others achieved but always remember that the sky is the limit and when you look at others achievements, it should motivate you to want to achieve more.

On a personal level, this is great and amazing. Good Luck with your PhD concept paper, this is a big step - You are achieving a lot. PhD is a huge step so please stay positive and motivated.

I finally took the PMP exam and passed on Saturday. ;)

I was promoted to Director of Project Management at my consulting firm.

I submitted a proposal to our state supreme court and state bar concerning the implementation of a program to license non-lawyer legal professionals to assist with the access to justice gap for those who cannot afford a lawyer (think nurse practitioner vs. doctor)

I was appointed to the Board of Directors and as Continuing Education Chair for a national legal association.

I finished homeschooling my teenage son and *tearfully* helped him transition into a mechanical engineering program at college.

I became a securities arbitrator.

I'm making a list for 2022 but am seriously lagging behind some of you.
