Just like every year around this time, I pose this question so we can all reflect and motivate one another. This year has been another very interesting and as the year comes to an end, and given we are one big community / family, it would be interesting to hear about each other’s achievements during the year:

- What did you achieve on a professional level ?
- What did you achieve on a personal level ?
- Did you follow a certain plan you set ?

I will kick-off the discussion with my 2021 achievements. This was a very busy year for me on a professional level (I say the same every year).

Professional Achievements

1) Besides my full time job, I managed to grow my own business "RMK Coaching" especially the clientele base.

2) Was approved by Simon Fraser University (SFU) as an Instructor for Project Management and Business Analysis.

3) Completed 13 great courses and 9 micro-credentials with PMI - Each and everyone of them added value in a different way:

- Citizen Developer Foundation, Practitioner & Business Architect
- Wicked Problem Solving Practitioner
- Agile and Hybrid Kick-Off
- Agile Hybrid Pro
- Agile Metrics
- Built Environment Project Communication Pro
- Scope & Change Order Management in Built Environment
- Interface Management in the Built Environment
- Organizational Transformation Foundation, Implementation and Orchestration

4) Earned the Program Management Professional (PgMP) credential which marked an important milestone for me as with this achievement, I've earned all 8 Main PMI Credentials and 9 Micro-Credentials.

5) Became an Official PMI Affiliate. Very excited to be part of this initiative and help PMI grow their product offering.

6) Appointed as PMO Global Alliance Community Ambassador in Canada.

7) Participated as an Official Judge in the PMO Global Awards 2021.

8) Appointed as Canada Hub Ambassador for the PM4NGOs Organization. Very excited to be part of their growth.

9) Participated in the launch of a new PMO Community "The PMO Leader" lead by Joe Psuz.

10) Presented my first webinar for the PMI Canadian West Coast Chapter about" Career Advice for New Practitioners and Experienced Professionals" and it was the first in a series of more webinars to come.

11) Invited by Simon Fraser University (SFU) to participate on a expert panel for Business Analysis.

12) Hosted on two podcasts.

13) Currently taking an online live course with PMOGA for the PMO Consultant (PMO-CC) credentials. Amazing course and initiative.

Personal Achievements

It's been a bit of a bumpy road with some health issues that I am facing but hopefully all will go well, other than that, it's been quiet as there is nothing much to do or anywhere to go given the current pandemic situation.

That's it for now - Looking forward to hearing from all of you. Let's motivate one another.

As usual, it's hard to top your list.

Professionally it was a relatively quiet year, so the main milestone was publishing my book. I haven't quite broken even on the publishing costs with the book royalties but I'm happy with the support I've received for it so far! I'm hoping to add the DAC credential before year end, but it might end up being early in the new year.

I delivered some webinars this year, mostly on the topics of DA and psychological safety. I also was invited to a few podcasts with two notable ones being Velociteach Manage This and Andy Kaufman's.

Personally, my wife and I relocated from the greater Toronto area to our final (?) destination in the Niagara region and I officially updated my working status to be semi-retired. I successfully planned & managed the relocation and renos project within budget and on schedule to the quality expectations of my wife :-) !

Learning more about the wine industry and working for a small local winery is definitely on the wish list, but maybe not in the immediate future.

Alexandre Costa Scrum Master| Integer Consulting - Pictet technologies Loures, Portugal
This year professionally was a year of stagnation or my expectations were unrealistic.

In terms of learning, I added four certifications to my portfolio.
Professional Scrum Kanban
Azure Fundamentals
Azure Data Fundamentals
Certificate of Pedagogic Aptitude for training.

I grew up in terms of knowledge.

But I believe that it was a year in which I did not reach any of the proposed objectives, and that the investment in training is not having the expected return.

missed milestones:
- Start teaching agile in a college university.
- Dedicate more time to project management.
- Participate in at least 3 voolunteer activities (only one was achieved and very irrelevant to my personal growth, all other appliances were refused in PMI so this os kind of a lost cause PMP's have priority)

So professionally and personally, it was a year in which motivation clearly went down, which leads me to consider what kind of plan I'm going to do for the next year.

If there is one thing I would like to work on is networking. It is coming between me and the good things in life, so to speak.

This is amazing, congratulations on those outstanding achievements and good luck with your Master Program and SAFe Certification.

On a personal level, I should and will follow your footsteps especially the nutrition and excersing part. I adopted some bad eating habbits during COVID and cut down on my exercising time but I am planning to get on it soon.

Congratulations on renewing your PMP and PMI Membership. I think the best place to start in looking for a job post retirement is your local chapter in India.

Good Luck !

Rami, your achievements are hard to top. Looking at them, I almost feel like I did nothing :(
Professionally I got certified. A big milestone for me.
On a personal level it seems all have been stagnant or even regressing. At least I have finally convinced myself I can write my concept paper for PhD admission. Hiked mountain Kenya to the third highest peak.
On the family front, nothing much to report.

Thanks for your compliment much appreciated - You did accomplish something big, it is not easy to become certified. Don't judge your achievements based on what others achieved but always remember that the sky is the limit and when you look at others achievements, it should motivate you to want to achieve more.

On a personal level, this is great and amazing. Good Luck with your PhD concept paper, this is a big step - You are achieving a lot. PhD is a huge step so please stay positive and motivated.
