I am trying my hands on MS Project. I have no idea where from ACWP, BCWS, BCWP would come. Would you be kind enough to guide me. Please send some example to try it. Saving Changes...

Hafeez,
Activate the Earned Value table and you will see the ACWP, BCWS and BCWP fields for each task. In your project choose, View, Tables, More Tables..., Earned Value, Apply. That should do it. Saving Changes...
I would suggest either buying a basic book or getting some training on MS Project before exploring various EV indicators. This way, you'll have a solid foundation to build your MS Project knowledge base on... Saving Changes...
Quentin Fleming has written a very easy to understand book on Earned Value. It has helped me in working with EV and MS Project. Look for the book on the Project Management Institute web site PMI.org. Saving Changes...

Be careful - MSP does not do Earned Value very well. Will be OK if your plan is stable from day 1 but runs into problem adding changes to scope once you've started tracking actual effort. I've seen plans where the EV data inside MSP is totally different from that it exports to Excel.
Does anyone know if MSP 2000 is any better? Saving Changes...

I'm using MS Project 2000 now for EVA and find the export working well. However, my current problem is when I wish to change the earned value numbers for a task (because it may not be as complete as the work expended suggests). I cannot determine how to change BCWP without affecting ACWP. Any assistance would be appreciated. The attached file "House Painting Example.mpp" is in Project 2000 format. I am trying to illustrate how to determine BCWP for a project that is different from ACWP. Saving Changes...
If you type Earned Value into the MS Project help screen it will provide detail on where the fields are, how they are populated and how to use them. Saving Changes...
