I understand your PMP credential is already expired and if this is the case, what I know is that PMI can give you a window of 6 extra months to accumulate 60 PDUs to renew your certification (unless things recently changed) so you might have 2 more months. If you didn’t manage to renew it then you will need to sit for the exam again as far as I know.

I suggest you re-visit the CCRS Handbook and the PMP Re-certification handbook.

You can also contact customer care, they usually respond in timely manner.

I'm curious, Amir, how did your PMP come to expire? If you were a PMP since 2005, you must have been fulfilling the 60 PDUs for each of the 5 cycles.

i, somehow, forgot to claim PDU. However, the following reply that i have received from PMI which can be useful for
"We appreciate your continued interest in PMI. Your PMP® credential is currently in a suspended status. Suspended status acts as a grace period and lasts up to one year from your cycle end date (7 Sep 2021 - 6 Sep 2022). During this suspension period, you are not able to refer to yourself as a PMP® credential holder; however, your credential will return to good standing as soon as you complete the renewal process.

If you do not renew your credential before the suspension year ends, your credential will expire, and you would need to complete the application and examination process to earn the credential again."
I ALREADY CLAIM MY PDU'S AND NOW THE PMP IN GOOD STANDING .

Olayinka -

As I understand it, you have a one year grace period after your certification expiry date. The status is "suspended" but by renewing it will be activated again. The certification handbook explains it here: https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/...2b6548166dd5486
