I am in the beginning phases of a project where I have team members from multiple areas/organizations coming together to form new workstream teams.
-Previously established scrum teams
-External consulting organization
-Other internal SMEs
Looking for a powerful real life metaphor of multiple teams coming together to achieve something great (including storming, norming...). Best I could come up with is Remember the Titans. Any suggestions?

How about the original Live Aid concert if you think of bands as teams?

If you want a fictional metaphor, the movie Armageddon comes to mind with the two teams of the offshore drillers and the "real" astronauts...

Any NASA project would be a good example of bringing a variety of teams together.

Chris,

a wedding, when 2 families come together. Pick your outcome (for example my big fat greek wedding).
Consider the aspect that one team might assume they are leading.
The seven samurai is another example

I really like the Live Aid suggestion, Kiron. Thank you! Nasa was a great direction though, Stephane. I managed to find this article talking about the Cassini-Huygens mission that brought 2 organizations and people from 27 countries (a majority of them remote) to find success. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-03222-3
