Obviously PMs are not aliens so we do make mistakes like humans. Important thing is we should learn from our mistakes and try to void them in future. Another important thing is instead of grieving over the mistake done, we should act fast to minimize the negative impact of it.

I think the biggest thing is when you make a mistake to admit it, learn from it and move on. If there are corrections required then great. Sort it.

That is what I do. I admit I make a mistake, take responsibility and then say what can we do to move forward, correct the issue and keep it from happening again. Same thing when one of my team members makes a mistake. No finger pointing. Don't live in the past thinking about what went wrong.
Of course if someone makes the same mistake again and again, intervention will be required.
