For information gathering and educational purposes, I am seeking out information on recognized project management bodies, associations, alliances, methodology institutes, certification providers, and the like.

Selected examples like PMI, IPMA, APM, Axelos, IAPMO, Scrum Alliance, Agile Alliance, etc.

If you know any not mentioned by me, please free to send a link in the comments.

Stephen,

ISO is an international standard and has per se no relevance in individual countries. Except when the national standard body explicitly elevates it to a national standard, maybe with modifications.

Example: ISO 21500 elevated to DIN ISO 21500 for Germany, and since we have also the old one DIN 69901, both covering PM, it may be a bit confusing.
Okay, I understand. Thanks for the clear explanation.
