I am looking for guidance regarding QR code technology. I have seen restaurants use QR codes for their menus and thought that I could apply it to my company. I work for an eyewear company and I feel that QR code technology could benefit my company but I am looking for ideas on how to get started. We have eyewear displays in retail stores that hold various quantities of sun or reading glasses. These displays are serviced by service reps and as part of their service they are required to set the displays to a specific planogram. Typically the planogram is a printed PDF and my thought is for the service rep to be able to scan a QR code that is affixed to the display and the QR code would show the planogram for that display on their phones. This would be an efficient paperless solution and I am looking for ideas on how and where to turn to get started? Has anyone tried something similar? Any literature, thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you. Saving Changes...
If I am reading your question correctly, you want to use QR codes as a paperless solution for the service rep to get their instructions for updating the physical displays. It's a great idea, and fairly easy.
It's a link to a file, so you need a file structure, an off-the-shelf QR code generator, a printer for the placard, and the rep to first install it and then scan it.
That kind of solution is going on everywhere. It's really brilliant when you compare it to years past. Saving Changes...
