Hello,
Could you elaborate? Do you have awareness about the involved activities for the project, network upgrade?
One possible approach would be defining the steps, info needed per "OSI layer": steps at physical, data link, network...

not aware of a template for this since it would depend of the objective, many variables, scenarios.
