I recently took a Project Management course as part of my MBA curriculum. How many PDU's should I claim for having successfully completed the 3 credit hour course? Thank you in advance for the input.

For every hour of actual course learning you can claim 1 PDU so you need to asses how many totally hours are project management related and claim them accordingly.

You will also need to determine which legs of the PMI Talent Triangle the course content covers and allocate the PDUs accordingly. For example, if it was solely covering PM technical skills such as building a network diagram you'd claim the full PDUs against that leg of the talent triangle.

Make sure you keep the course outline, duration, and proof of completion in case your PDU submission is challenged.

If it is a dedicated course on PM, then generally that would be 12 weeks X 3 classroom hours per week so 36 PDUs. Use the syllabus to align what was covered in the classroom to the talent triangle, but likely it will be heavy on technical and light on leadership.

Rami, Kiron and Keith made valid points. However, it is up to PMI to accept or decline!
