Best resources to start teach the project management for MENA region?

Hi colleagues,

I was recently idle in following the PM topics. However, I'm a PMP certified and I'm working in the construction projects for 11 years in KSA. I've been advised by few friends to start training people the project management topic since, as they said, I have a good way to convey the message (maybe!).
However, I was thinking if I can start with a particular part/minor subject in PM which is the most in demand nowadays..
What do you suggest? Do I need to read all the PMBOK guide book again and recap the PM processes, knowledge areas, tools and so on..
OR, it is matter of customizing the subject to fit the needs (I mean MENA region)?
Your support please

If you are just starting with teaching, I'd recommend you first take a practical hands-on course in adult learning so that you have a grounding in teaching fundamentals.

Then, find a reputable organization to partner with such as a college or a boutique PM training and consulting company as that will be easier than trying to find clients on your own.

Finally, you can either focus on specialized content (e.g. industry-specific) or general project management fundamentals, but the key is to make the experience as immersive and meaningful as possible for learners so that they can apply what they've learned.

Another alternative might be to become a PMP prep course trainer. In that case, you'd want to find a PMI ATP to partner with and go through the PMP trainer onboarding.

Hi Kiron,

First, thank you for your response.
For the first advice: could you please advise the resources to get this courses?

Second: Already I've registered in one of the training platform and I'm officially professional trainer (they are responsible to do the necessary marketing, videos arrangements, and so on) but I haven't yet started as I want to deepen my experience first.

Third: This is what I want to think and research about.

Many thanks for your support.

Omar

I totally agree with Kiron, he gave some solid advise. On the same note, PMI are coming up with a new credential like PMP but for construction so this is something for you as well to consider and it doesn’t matter which region you are.

Hello Omar -

I'm not aware of the local colleges in Saudi which would offer adult learning certificates as I'm based in Canada. If you do find one in the ME, you can compare its curriculum with this one which is local to me: https://www.mystfx.ca/adult-education-diploma/program-modules

Hi Omar

I suggest you do both. The CPBEP credentials should be released sometime this year but PMI already released 7 courses and 3 micro-credentials for construction that relates to the overarching credential.
