Currently, the "Certified Scrum Master" (CSM) is the most popular one and is provide by the ScrumAlliance.
The Agile one provided by PMI is too new to know if it will be recognized on the scale of the CSM and will probably never come close to the PMP.
Good luck. Saving Changes...

As a PMP, I've checked into the requirements for the Agile PMP cert and it is quite extensive, not only the experience requirements, but also the testing length - similar in timeframe and questions number to the PMP. Since the Scrum Alliance is THE industry recognized expert on Scrum and preceded Agile, for me, selecting the CSM course is an excellent alternative to the Agile Certification. Additionally, there are two sides - those that belive traditional project management is the only way and those who believe tradtional can be blended with Agile/Scrum. I believe they can be successfully. Saving Changes...

Short answer ... I plan to take PMI Agile then CSP because the self-training materials seem more available for PMI.
Both computerized tests are new. CSP might have a leg up because they knew what to look for in the essay CSP. Yet, PMI publicized their list of books before Agile Alliance. CSP list of books is over 70% consistent with PMI.
While Agile Alliance is known to the agile world, PMI is known to the traditional world. As the traditional world adopts agile, there will be a lot of change and "PMI" might be the security blanket that comes along for the ride.
Competion breads innovation and growth. I think this is good for the agile community. Saving Changes...

CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or Certified Product Owner are from Scrum alliance are very popular but easy to achieve. PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner is still in Beta until Nov 30th. I guess PMI agile certificates will have value as they mature in to 2012.

From IT or software point of view SCRUM is the choice but if we are talking about Agile Project Management then PMI-ACP is the best. PMI-ACP is comparatively simpler than SCRUM but covers all agile methodologies, not only SCRUM. Saving Changes...
On another note, I personally like SCRUMStudy standard, trainings and certifications. They are universally available and are pretty much professional. Saving Changes...

What's going on, Suhail? This is the second post where I see you recommend these ScrumStudy people. Their Scrum BOK is an inaccurate, fanciful and harmful distortion of Scrum and has been loudly and consistently decried by anyone and everyone in the Scrum world. Recommending them reflects badly on you as well. Saving Changes...
I have both the CSM and the PMI-ACP certifications, and I believe that each is better than the other in certain situations. If you're going to be working in a SCRUM environment, then I believe the CSM is the best credential. However, if you work in a SCRUM hybrid or non-SCRUM agile environment (e.g. Extreme Programming) or if you plan/want to work in such environments, then I believe the PMI-ACP credential is better as it is not focused solely on SCRUM. First, you have to stay clear about what does means "best option" to you. Second, both are totally different. SCRUM is specific to one method/methodology. PMI-ACP is a generalistic certification. Saving Changes...
