Would anyone have information on the requirements for the PMP examination application process? For example, are a certain number of references required for completing the application process? This is one section that I am interested in learning more about for the application. Can references be substituted for another form of data? Overall, what is the status of the application process requirements for this exam?

If you are going through the online exam application and still have questions, I suggest you contact PMI customer care: https://www.pmi.org/about/contact

The online application does not ask you for references for each project you submit. However, if you are audited, the auditor might wish to contact one or more references to validate the info you provided.

The PMP application checklist (https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/...6-1d363a2b93d0) provides useful tips on completing the application.

This data is very helpful. I see that one must have references to accompany the application process in case they are selected for an auditing process. If there happen to be no references to track for project work, does that mean that a person can be disqualified from taking the exam?
I do not have a lot of project experience but understand the need to complete this certification.
Thank you for the handout.

This is why it is a good idea to always have more experience than the bare minimum so that in case one project is disqualified by an auditor you have another to put forward. Remember that a relatively small percentage of applications are audited so you might end up not having to go through that scrutiny.

I'm glad they improved the process, Justin. When I was audited in 2015/2016, I had to print all my experience sheets, have my manager sign them, scan them and send the digital files.
