I am an engineer by trade, with some project management responsibilities. I'm trying to make the transition to become an official project manager by title.
I'm interviewing for a PM position. As part of the interview, I have to create a presentation based on a mock situation assigned to me by the hiring manager.
I'm looking for someone to guide me on this; help me identify the important information in the scenario and explain how to use it to create the presentation.
I am willing to pay, if necessary. Saving Changes...

Koi,
This is meant to be an assesment of YOUR skills and abilities, not someone else's. By having someone help you, you're undermining the whole purpose of this assignment. Saving Changes...

Before I studied project management and new what it formally was, but was in effect doing it, I got better at it over time. Once I started studying it, I realised that I had been doing a lot of "Intuitive Project Management" prior to formalising it. As I studied towards my PMP, there were many aha moments of realising - "oh, that's what I was doing" like scope and schedule management. Make no mistake though, I learned a ton by getting formal with my PMP and putting into practice. I hope that encourages you a little for the interview, but beyond that, encourages you to go for CAPM/PMP. Saving Changes...

Just remember that you will be judged by your presentation and, thus, set expectations with the employer. One of the tenets in the PMI Code of Ethics is to not misrepresent ourselves as having skills we do not possess. Saving Changes...
