why PMP is not so popular in European & Asian countries?

I feel a lot of cultural gap in European & Asian management style to the North American continent. Even though some MNC adapts PMP principle, Asian & European rooted countries are not inclined. Does current PMI-PMP lacks any important values from these countries? Saving Changes...
I wouldn't generalize as PMI has taken a lot of effort to establish mindshare in many European & Asian countries. Many of its standards have been translated in multiple languages and there are strong chapters in both these continents.
Certain European countries (e.g. UK) might be pulled more towards other credentials, frameworks and associations which were "home grown" - PRINCE2 is one such example.
PMI has always advocated for a "strong" PM so if there is a cultural force working against that position, then that might explain some resistance in the past, but generally the need for good project management is becoming clearer across the board.

Is your statement based on any facts that you came across? I am not sure if this is accurate and I am in line with Kiron’s input.

I feel that India's PMI chapters are relatively less active on promoting members value or benefiting the overall organization benefits. I am working with German, France, Japan, China and American colleagues often... there is also I am realizing it Saving Changes...
Irish employers are certainly aware of PMP. It is often requested in job postings (or similar certifications like Prince2, Agile badges etc). Culturally in Ireland, we do place a lot of value on qualifications. I think it largely depends on an industry's demands. If you find there are cultural gaps between your international colleagues, then isn't that beyond PMP? I've worked with PMPs who did the exam, and went back to managing things exactly as before. Organisational culture has a lot to do with enforcing standards across sites. Saving Changes...
