Good day, I need to expand my knowledge and skills in the area of project management (majorly relating to Software development, Tech PM, and Product management). I'm putting this out there in the hopes of finding a mentor, a remote internship, or a side-gig for most importantly a practical and hands-on experience (not the Udemy kind) in this field.
P.S: I just want to gain more experience in the aforementioned field. I am open to being interviewed. My résumé is available if required.
I would be only available remotely and will be at a mutually agreed time.
Other suggestions are also welcome.
Thank you. Saving Changes...

Hey Olayinka!
Given your listed title and your PMP certification, I would surmise that you are already experienced and working in project management. Typically, every organization has a need for IT project managers. Have you talked to your boss about putting your name forward for such projects? That's usually the best starting point. (That was mine almost 40 years ago.)

Thank you Stephane for the heads-up. I would take your advice, I have handled very few IT projects hence my thirst for more especially with the recent tech boom. I would talk to my boss and do as you have advised. Thanks a lot.
Another option if you can't find the possition in your work is to look for a volunteer opportunity and/or a non-profit organization that will value the skillset that you bring.

Hi Mayte, yes it is that volunteer opportunity I am exactly looking for. I have tried searching LinkedIn and I am yet to come across any. Is there any direction I could be pointed to in this regard, especially remote volunteer opportunities?

Most local organizations, especially charitable organizations, are in need of volunteers. Whether it's your PMI chapter or any other organization, go and talk to them about their IT needs and how you can help.
