I have a situation that I am trying to fix an not sure if MS Project can accomodate.
I have a particular task that i have 4 resources allocated to spanning 15 days, one of which has paralell additional tasks therefore overallocating him for 1 day.
Is it possible to, keep the task date scheduled as the same start date but only lag +1d for only 1 resource?
Screen Shot Attached.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Tim,
best way to get around this is to allocate percentage of your main man's effort to each task. So if he will be working 70% of that time on Design go to the "task information" for that task, click the "resources" tab, find the specific resource you want to change and change the percentage to 70%, then for the other task which should logically be 30% change the resource level to 30%. This way when you look at the resource allocation you will only be showing the total of 100% for this resource.
You may still need to go back and change the task duration to 15 days, because the task is not effort driven - you can play with this on the "advanced" tab. But as with most MS Project elements there are quirks...if you assign the resources and then the duration you should be ok.
