MS project question

Can anyone answer this question?;

How do I alter the number of units (%) a resource is expending on a task
over the duration of the task?

For instance, a resource is assigned to a task from Jan 1/01 until Feb
23/01. From Jan 1 until Jan 31, they spend 50% of their time, but from Feb
1 onwards, they dedicate 100% of their time. How can I do this without
making the second section a separate task?

Thanks in advance.

In the Resource Information dialog - General tab, enter the 'From' and 'To' dates and the % of availability.

PS: In the 'Resource Sheet' view, double click on the resource name to open the Resource Information dialog

Colum:

If you are working with MS PROJECT 98 or later version, you can contour your resource assignment (exactly what you want) in the RESOURCE USAGE view. You can type the exact assignment in the cell on the chart corresponding to the time period. You have to be careful thou and check the task type (FD,FW,FU and effort driven or non ed)

Will be glad to help more if required
