I've been researching this school of thought on leadership and haven't found much.

yes, this topic is not deeply researched.
One research, which also won an IPMA reward and was funded by PMI is by Ralf Müller, PMI Fellow and editor-in-chief of the PMI research journal PMJ.

He will present it to the Germany Chapter next Thursday, 12.5. 18:00 CEST. Free for all, you just have to register your email before booking the event.
