MSP 2007 Exploding File Sizes

About once a week, my MSP 2007 Master File goes from 1.1 Mb to 1.9 Mb during a save back to the original folder. Then I cannot open the file again and I get a dialog box that says I need to check the formats or maybe I am out of memory. IT Support says the memory should not be a problem. Does anybody know what is happening?

Bill, I'm sorry, I can't help, but I just wanted to say how much I sympthaise! My project plans in MSP are regularly corrupted, so I now save a new version every time I make major edits. Then at least I only have to go back one iteration if it corrupts.
