Lost foam Casting Defects

Lost Foam Casting Process is not quite popular in India. The basic reason behind this process could be attributed to awareness. After gaining expertise of a process, people enter a comfort zone and acceptability to new technology reduces.... Can anyone explains variety of defects in Lost foam castings...?

This is really more of a materials science question, although when I was doing R&D in castings and structural foams, we found it very difficult to control consistent material properties with low density reaction injection molded foams. Needless to say that since our research earned patents, it's not the kind of technology that people give away for free.
