My employer is in the process of creating a position for a project scheduler. They'd like to be able to use some kind of objective skills assessment program or service to help screen candidates. Is anyone aware of such a service?

I've not used it myself, but maybe PMI's Career Framework tool will help. The APM's Planning SIG has written a short guide to project planning that may also include information that would be useful for the scheduling job description. You can get a copy here: http://www.apm.org.uk/IntroProjPlanning.asp

You may check out many government PMO/Program Offices to find position descriptions.

You can check Washington, New York and Michigan to name a few websites that may have this information directly off their websites.

Linked In PM Groups are another sources who may be willing to share this information.

Good luck.
