Hello all,
after the new edition of the PMBOK was released it seems that PMI has made a commitment to also update their practice guides and standards accordingly. (This can be seen on the “PMI.org” “standards & publications” ) My question is if anyone is aware of the planned release dates for the individual standards ? (There are several standards I am planning to read but if the updated version is right around the corner I would prefer to wait for the new release)
Thank you in advance!,
Torge

In case no PMI staff member or Standards volunteer member responds, I'd suggest sending a query to [email protected] and post any response you receive in this thread.

Hi Torge

I would not wait. If you read an old version, you often already have an idea of 80% of the new version (except PMBoK Guide ed 6 to 7) and changes in the new one give you an idea about what the update team thought is relevant.

If you do not see the update here as a project, it may not be 'around the corner'.

Also, why not look out in VRMS if PMI looks for volunteers for an update team.
