You don’t certain qualifications to subscribe or enrol with PMI and become a member. You need those when you apply for credentials like PMP. RK

Coursea can meet your PM educational requirement. Linkden is a business oriented social networking site so I don't know how that could be used on any application. If you don't have a 4 year degree, 8 years of experience meets the 60 month requirement provided 60% of it was leading projects.

It may be, Keith, that Tiaan has taken LinkedIn courses--I certainly did--and wonders if they can be applied towards the contact hours.
You don't need qualifications to subscribe to the PMI website, but they are necessary when applying to PMI Credentials
