Dear Kiron. Now yes... after my publication, the PMI Fact Files were published (July 12th)

The ambitious growth estimated in the 2021-2025 strategic plan is not being realized

Sometimes it's the result of getting out of strategic focus... Or will it be
weak "Business Acumen"

I'd suspect that the slow down in the economy, the slow recovery from COVID-19, and the lack of uptake for most of the certs other than PMP is hampering efforts.

Also, as many members don't fully exploit the benefits of membership, I could see a number dropping off after a year or after earning their PMP certifications, especially those in regions with an unfavorable US to local currency exchange rate...

Dear Kiron
Thank you for this your opinion

The issue of member loyalty has always been present

For many years there has been a difference between the number of members and the number of people certified.

I believe that the price of the membership is expensive in some countries... and not all organizations/employers pay for it.

Dear Mayte
Pricing is one of the tools that can be used in implementing the strategy

Despite this, in my opinion, the most important thing is the departure from the strategic focus

They published it the same time as your post Luis - You love this post, I know :-)

Mayte

PMI has to find a way to reduce the pricing one way or another especially for members holding multiple credentials. They might not be expensive compared to others but on the high side for sure.

Dear Rami
I am convinced that the publication of the PMI Fact Files followed my comment.

I only made this comment because it is the 12th of July.

Do they have to count by hand the members, the certified people
Did you notice that they already removed an element that used to be present? The total number of people certified.

By the way.
It must cost you a "black note" to keep all your certifications up to date
In my humble opinion, for people with so many certifications, PMI could adjust their pricing policy.

I don’t have this count and no I didn’t notice honestly. In terms of multiple certifications, I agree, PMI should consider adjustment for this as it costs a decent amount to renew 8 credentials plus annual membership fees.
