Hi fellow PMs - just wanted to share my experience. I passed my PMP on my first try today. Wanted to share my experience.

Exam prep
- based my prep on the PMP ECO and focused on all approaches predictive and agile
- watched all pm prepcast videos https://www.project-management-prepcast.com/login
- read agile practice guide
- read scrum guide
- read/skimmed PMBOK 6th and 7th edition
- completed the self paced online courses for PMI Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) ---- this was soooo helpful to learn agile processes and terms + I was able to get my certification at the same time!
- completed and passed the DASM certification exam (online, non-proctored)
- made lots and lots of note cards and took handwritten notes as I went through all above videos/materials
- made sure I knew the basic formulas such as EV, PV, CV, SP, CPI, CPI; didn't try to memorize all of them but had a good understanding of each so I could apply in the situational questions
- made sure I could identify all graphs/visual indicators and how they would apply in situations; took more time on this then formulas
- took one full practice exam in pm prepcast so I could get a handle on time mgmt and focusing for 230 minutes but other than that I just did lots of learning quizzes 10-20 questions at a time in pm prepcast (if you select learning mode, you can answer a question and then see immediate feedback for the question and all answers wrong and right ones)

Exam day
- relax
- you can't bring anything with you in the exam room including water bottles
- you get a notepad, pen and calculator
- brain dump whatever you need to on the notepad right when you start
- make sure you have GOOD time mgmt for each section; the exam is broken up into three 60 question sections so I spent an average 75 min per section
-dont leave any questions blank, just guess the best answer
- it was stressful and I had doubts of how well I was doing during the exam but ended up doing even better than I thought so recommend just trusting yourself and trusting the prep that you have done for the exam

Good luck everyone!
