I've been assigned the Data Migration workstream on a program comprising 5 projects implementing 10 applications. The current architecture is 6 regions each with its own set of servers. The future state is one centralised server and database infrastructure.
Where can I find resources for planning and recommendations for the technical skills required for the Data governance activities - security, data stewardship and restricting users to their data sets etc ?
Thanks!

Non-Invasive Data Governance - Robert Seiner. The book is a very quick and practical read. He covers the content of the book in various webinars available from Dataversity on Youtube. Here is one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kq_3NEUqiHs Sunil Soares' books are also excellent and go deeper into content if you have the time for the read(s).

Nyasha, I see you have received a response recommending some resources that should help you. My input is philosophical based my experience in implementations in large financial institutions. The platform is critical, the person you are looking for is someone who experienced in the chosen platform as a Data Architect with security credentials. With this individual make decisions like: the upfront credentials verification, will there be additional verification for certain data? individuals require repeated verification. Will there be trap links, virtual diversion? What will the interface structure and will it reside on the host or user. What will the table structure be? Will the structure be same for all the apps or individualized or hybrid. All of these decisions should be made at the architect design phase. When interviewing I would ask the candidate to create a conceptual overview representation of their concept of a secure useful design. Good luck.
