PM Training for Techies

I'm in a brand new PM position, the first true PM position for the company, and basically building a lightweight PMO capability. It's a fairly small group of about 12 techies in an environment with no history of PM processes, status reports, etc. However, they do an excellent job supporting the core business of the company. Projects here often suffer from scope creep, dates are missed, no project planning, etc, which I'm changing. Part of my PMO plan is to offer "tech friendly" PM training @ Lunch and Learn's. Has anyone done any similiar training and may possibly share their materials with me? I want to provide tech friendly training on the core phases within PMI. I can put something together but prefer to not reinvent the wheel. I've seen similiar threads on the site but haven't come across any training materials, presentations, docs, etc.

I don't have any training material, but check out the book Growing Software by Louis Testa. It's all about how to move from a technical role to a PM role, so the language is very relevant to what you are doing. I can't remember if each section ends with a quiz or something, but there might be a case study or exercises you could use.
