I use Gamification too. Currently thinking about identifying risks and dependencies with cards, like planning poker.

One strategy I try to take, depending on group size and dynamic, is to ask the group (ahead of time preferably) which technique they would like to do. I think it's best to send a survey to stakeholders ahead of time to get an idea what they want to do, and consider this alongside the needs of the workshop - for example, are you scoping out a project, or responding to a realized risk?
