For clarification, when is the CAPM exam changing to be based on the 7th Edition of PMBOK?

PMI mentioned some changes to the CAPM exam recently. Here is the link so check the new ECO:

I don't think this is a total shift to the PMBOK 7th Edition so I suggest you connect with PMI via phone and inquire about this if you are not sure but the link above have some useful information.

The CAPM exam is based on the Exam Content Outline (ECO), of which there is a new version as of January 2023. The exam is expected to change then.

The literature to consider while learning might be updated then on the website, currently it names PMBoK Guide ed6. This edition is no longer for sale or download so it will probably not be relevant for the new exam. If edition 7 will be named instead is unclear as of today.

In any case, learning for the CAPM (or other certifications) should be based on the ECO.

Another recommendation is to attend a course like Project Management Basics.
