It was the same way with PMBOK6. Looks like a holistic approach (knowing all other methodologies) is what is required than just knowing PMBOK6 or 7 then.
Correct, I agree. PMI provides a list of references on which the exam is based so yes, one needs to do more than just the 6th or 7th edition.

I am a little confused on where to start my study journey. I just bough the PMBOK 7th edition. Is there any free sources I can use. I cannot really afford pricey books or courses. Please help me! Thank you!
