Are you an active member of your PMI Chapter going to the meetings, applying for volunteering opportunities, participating in the election processes, webinars and other activities to assure the enhancement and improvement of this group of professionals and its interests? Which concept would you give for your involvement - from A (highly involved) to F (low involvement)? Saving Changes...

I am active but would classify as "C" as well. I am involved in Mentoring with the PMI Local Chapter in Vancouver.

Mr. Kaibni, I'm certain that your humility and self-exigence are greater and do part of your leadership approach, which is admirable. I bet that the concept C auto given is not representing the reality of your commitment with the Vancouver Chapter, if assessed by your peers on that location. Thanks for sharing and all the best in your personal and professional journey.

C starting to trend towards B - I only just joined my chapter back in July, but I have accepted a volunteer position recently, and have started to attend more chapter events.

Very good initiative, Mrs. Reid. Your Chapter was the most benefited in having your counciouss dedication at this moment of your PM journey. After this first steps beside the Chapter activities your own evaluation will smoothly and quickly move up. All the best.

When I first joined PMI after entering the profession in 1999, I was highly engaged. Within a year of joining the chapter, I ran for and won one of the Board of Director positions and volunteered in that capacity for six years. As part of that, I attended nearly all events and took advantage of as well as delivered some of the professional development opportunities provided.
However, as I gained more experience, I shifted my focus from the chapter to PMI global by volunteering on standards projects, writing PMP exam items and so on.
Today, I live over 100 km from the location of my chapter's events but even with the virtual ones don't feel a strong desire to participate. I keep paying my chapter dues more from a sense of loyalty than anything else!

Very inspirational, Mr. Bondale as a good leader is. Pardon me in having forgotten the AA concept in which, of course, you would be truly best represented. Thanks for sharing, congrats for your journey and teachings. All the best!

Given my province doesn't have it's own chapter, I've joined the Nova Scotia chapter where I was on the committee for Professional Development days. I later switched to the New Brunswick chapter where I would often present at the annual Professional Development conference. Since COVID-19 hit, my involvement has dwindled to attending online lunch and learns.

Even during tough times we see motivated professionals like you, Mr. Parent, whom does not measure efforts to continue contributing to the enhancement of PM and the peers. No doubt at the highest concept position, considering you testimonial. Thanks for sharing and best regards.

I am member of the PMI Germany Chapter and several others to support their case. For the PMI Germany Chapter I volunteer since 2020 on a low level as an event organizer for a local group and within a team of 4. We do 1-2 virtual events a month, for PDUs, open to everybody and in English! So why not book?
Recently, we restarted also face2face events but attendance is quite low, people are used to virtual events.
My current level of engagement is C.
It was quite higher, when I ran the PMI Frankfurt Chapter (now merged into the Germany Chapter) as President from 1998 to 2005 and then was elected to the PMI Board for 3 years, which I would give a AAA (not only because it meant to spend 60+ days a year for volunteering). In 2012 I received the Fellow Award for continuous and globally effective volunteering. After 6 years volunteering for the Ethics Review Committee, I was again elected to the PMI Board 2017.
Volunteering is very valuable for your own development.
