Unless and until the Exam Content Outline (ECO) changes, there won't be major changes to the exam question pool. Over time, there will be more questions added based on PMBOK Guide, Seventh Edition content, but that will be a gradual process.

Perhaps one or more of the folks who very recently passed the exam could share their views on this...

As Kiron said, you should review the ECO, and I recommend Rita Mulcahy's certification prep, it's a good option to acquire PM Knowledge at your own pace, and is updated to the latest exam. Visit this link:

I totally agree with Kiron's feedback. As far as I am aware, this is the direction PMI are taking.

Hi Kiran,
I passed the exam in November 2021. Knowing the PMBOK guide 6 is a must (Tables, processes and workflow especially quality/scope /verification/validation). Along with that you must know Agile and Scrum as well. Please read Agile practice guide and know all the terminologies. Please refer the Exam content outline and reference books given by PMI. The exam is fast paced and tests situational questions. Practice a lot and aim for 80 percent in all practice tests. If not redo the test and analyse as to what went wrong. Why you got certain things wrong. This is more important than practicing without improving scores. Also, for final exams I recommend two practice exams (PMP exam simulator) by Andrew Ramdayal which is about 60-70 percent (more or less) representative of the actual PMI style of exam. Hope this helps.
Good luck !
