Refer me to a good PMP course?

This is extremely helpful, thank you so much. Question, seeing as you are in Canada, I took the PRINCE2 Fundamentals in PM course and certification as a requirement for a Canadian company I used to work for, but I'm seeing the U.S. doesn't know about PRINCE2 very well (or at all); hence, I'm going to get my PMP certification. Thoughts on this at all?

Is this really a recommendation by you as far as your experience goes or a promotion of sorts? Thank you, sorry for asking, I'm getting a lot of 'offers' and do not understand more to be sure which suggestions to take...thank you, again, very much.

This is helpful...I have learned and practiced continuous improvement using Kanbans around 2012 for a few years but as PM grew so did I. I took the Prince2 certification for a Candian company and understood that to be utilized more in the European companies, and now I'm working for an American company and want to take the PMP course and certification test. With that, I did not understand the Boot Camps were best for exam prep, but I can't say I know the lingo used for the PMP exam so I need to take an actual course. I am not a paying member of PMI and do not know about a local chapter or what they may offer. Thanks to your suggestions I'll be looking into this more. Appreciate you so much, thanks!

Many candidates I know used. Other recommendations would be:

1) The courses for Joseph Philips and you can find them either on Udemy or his website instructing.com.

2) PM PrepCast Course and Simulations Exam

I just did get mine. CSM or scrum certification is highly wanted in Software industry. It is not very expensive and you can get it online. If you don’t prefer it is upto you. But u still need to study the scrum portion of Agile thoroughly. This is because in actual PMP at least 10/15 questions were from Scrum. Being able to differentiate different methodologies and yet answer the situational questions is important. I got my PMP as recently as last year Nov 2021. And the exam has changed and evolved in recent years. This is for your kind information.

I will have to slightly disagree with this, Jessica. Taking the scrum course won't benefit you much in the PMP, almost nill. It is a needle in a haystack. My recommendation is to go for the PMP and do the following:

1) Thorough studying of the PMBOK 6th edition and Agile Extension.

2) Read through the PMBOK 7th edition.

3) Take the course - My recommendations provided in previous comment.

4) Buy Rita Mulcahy Exam Prep book and study it.

5) Do simulation Exams - PM PrepCast is an excellent resource.

On Rami's points

I agree with his points on 1, 2,3 and 5. items 1 refers to Agile guide. Item 2 refers to all other textbooks which you must read including SCRUM. (Reading Rita Mulcahy is not required and certainly did not help me.). Any simulation exam is helpful.

Also, i like to emphasize the current exam is highly Agile, Scrum and hybrid oriented. The waterfall questions are only about 40 percent. And I am speaking from my experience of passing the exam only last year.
