I would assume there’s no way whenever they announce when the exam will be updated that same day you will no longer have access to the current exam, they would have to give us some notice I would assume, but boy does this mess with my ability to create a study schedule not knowing when the new exam takes affect and I would hope that they give us notice like for instance, if they announce January 5 let’s say that they’ll say the new exam will take affect on January 20 rather than the day they announce is the day that it changes and we get no notice . I’ve been in touch with the company a couple times a week for the past 5 to 6 weeks and nobody can give me any answers really. Saving Changes...

PMI usually gives enough notice for exam changes. The CAPM exam will change soon and I believe they announced this long time ago. On average, I noticed they provide at least 6 months notice period, if not more, to allow candidates who are already in the preparation process to sit for the current exam.

6 months? Because they expected in Nov to change it (never gave a date) then they moved it to January but still have never given dates or anything so even from the initial announcement that’s been changed it never gave any dates so in Jan when they finally announce a date you think January is just the announcement and the actual change date will be later? Idk how they can even change it in January without ever announcing any dates and we’re a few days from Jan… terrible system/company procedure they have for this rolling out.

Were are you seeing January? I've checked the pages on PMI's site and all it says is "early 2023". They might have expected to launch it in January as part of their planning earlier this year, but I'd guess that they have purposely left the launch date vague as they are doing re-work on it based on feedback from late stage testing of the new exam.
Their FAQ states: "To take the current CAPM exam, we encourage you to complete your application and schedule your exam prior to 1 Jan 2023. We do not have an exact date yet for the new exam; additional details will be shared as they become available."
So you think they’ll announce the date in January but the sunset of the old exam could be in Feb or Mar or something or will they announce it like two wks prior or something and it will sunset in Jan Saving Changes...
Unknown - the fact that PMI has not provided a specific date indicates they are unwilling to commit to one. I'd expect they will give at least a few months between the announcement and the change.
