Hello, I am a PMP in good standing since 1999. I have taken a few internal trainings on Project Management. But I was keen to know whether there is a training/certification program which I could attend which could train me as a "Trainer" on Projevt Management. Please do let me know. Thanks in advance.

Kiron would probably be the best person to answer this question as I believe part of being an ATP is having training experience but I didn't see a requirement for someone to be trained as a trainer to give training.

While it would help to have some background in adult education, this is not a must have. So long as you are an engaging facilitator, and have sufficient depth and breadth of PM experience to be able to draw upon real life examples when training practitioners from different backgrounds, you should be fine.

If you decided to pursue joining an ATP, then for non-PMP/DA courses, you don't need to do anything else. For the PMP or DA courses, you need to hold the certification which you will be teaching and you need to do a fairly short adult learning concepts on demand online course.
